At Onebooth we've been working hard to prepare for the Data Protection Regulation (GDPR). On our mission for total transparency, we always want you to know how we use the information you’ve shared with us and be certain it won’t be misused.

What is GDPR?

The Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) sets new standards for how companies use and protect data of EU citizens. The key principle of GDPR is giving consumers control of their data.

GDPR is a piece of legislation that was approved in April 2016. European authorities have given companies two years to comply and it will come into effect on May 25, 2018.

It replaces a previous law called the Data Protection Directive and is aimed at harmonizing rules across the European Union.

Who is affected?

The GDPR will not only affect organizations located within the EU, but it will also apply to companies outside of the region if they process data of any person in the EU.

How is Onebooth preparing for GDPR?

Here are the main things we’ve been working on to ensure we’re setting up ourselves and our customers up to meet GDPR obligations:

  1. You can now permanently delete user and campaign data.

  2. We've updated our Data Processing Agreements (DPA).

  3. We're constantly reviewing our suppliers regarding their GDPR standards.

  4. We're taking new security measures (internal audits, trainings).
